
Peruvian band Resplandor, now based in Netherlands released ‘Blue’, newest Resplandor’s single from upcoming album ‘Tristeza’. The single and the new album are produced and mixed by Robin Guthrie, founder and songwriter of the mythical band Cocteau Twins, who also produced and mixed his previous albumPleamar and has been mastered by Slowdive’s Simon Scott.
In February 2020, Saint Marie Records, reissued the band’s album‘Pleamar’ in a double vinyl edition and in June they released the song Bocanada (Faraway Whispers From The Sea) also mastered by Simon Scott.
During 2019 the band toured several European countries playing gigs in the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belgium.
During 2018, the band played different gigs, being part of the VMF 2018 Festival playing with MGMT, Warpaint, among others.
In 2017, after four years of recess, it was the return of the band to the stage, playing with Slowdive in Lima. In the fall of that year, Resplandor played in Madrid, Paris and Berlin as part of the Shoegazer Berlin Festival.
In Lima, Resplandor have opened shows for The Cure, The Jesus & MaryChain, Slowdive, The House Of Love, The Ocean Blue, Ulrich Schnauss, Robin Guthrie, Mark Gardener (Ride), The Radio Dept and more. Resplandor have also toured Europe, South America and North America, playing at festivals such as SXSW 2010, SXSW2011 and Culture Collide in 2012.
