One word always comes back in every review they get: energy. The raw honesty of their compact duo-setup of guitar and drums makes the perfect sound for irresistible grooves. Indie-Pop with an edge, as if Vampire Weekend would cover a Beatles song on the wedding of The Kills. After experimenting for about ten years, indie-pop duo Ciao Lucifer recorded their debut album “Are We Even Growing Up” in a tiny French village while on holiday. At some point during recording it clicked: their years of experimenting were over. It was time to introduce themselves to the world. After raving reviews in the press they toured through Europe and Indonesia before returning home to Amsterdam to work on their follow-up album during the pandemic.
