Czech Republic remains one of the few alternative temples of selected shoegaze & post-punk music. Here, young talented bands are actively producing their albums, performing at psychedelic rock festivals, touring across the country, overloading pubs & art spaces with the roar of guitars.

One of these guys, great musicians from Brno – sinks, released their long-awaited self-titled debut album on Korobushka Records.

Tense and harsh guitar patterns, ragged pulsating rhythm section and confident slightly nihilistic vocals recreate the atmosphere of late Sonic Youth’s albums. However, the sound is more powerful & restrained at the same time and a whole work is presented so confidently, like sinks are already releasing at least their fifth studio album. A full 10-tracks story creates its own world of emotional game with it’s own meanings.
